Tanda (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)

Tanda is a village in the Mansehra District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.A small and charming village surrounded by river siran. Most of the people are of Swati tribe. It is located at 34°29′N 73°18′E / 34.483°N 73.300°E / 34.483; 73.300Coordinates: 34°29′N 73°18′E / 34.483°N 73.300°E / 34.483; 73.300 at an elevation of 1037 metres (3405 feet). It is also the administrative centre of Tanda Union Council a subdivision of Mansehra Tehsil.

As of 2001 India census, Tanda had a population of 40,009. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Tanda has an average literacy rate of 36%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 44%, and female literacy is 27%. In Tanda, 21% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Tanda (Gujrat)

Tanda is a town in Gujrat District in the Pakistani province of Punjab. It is a Union council, an administrative subdivision of Gujrat Tehsil.

History

The word Tanda means "traveling body or gangs" in the Labanki language. Before the Partition of Punjab in 1947 the town had a large population of Sikhs belonging to the Labana community. Labanas were brought in by Choudhery of Mota (an adjacent village) to protect them from the gangs of thieves use to come down from Kashmir mountain mostly from Village Naryana of Jammu & Kashmir to loot the villagers. After partition they migrated to East Punjab, conversely Gujjar tribes from Jammu & Kashmir migrated into the Tanda area at the same time. Labanas established a community school in Tanda for the free education of their community, for this cause their tribe decided that no women will wear jewelry and all held should be deposited for the establishment of school. This school with boarding house very quickly established its repo and even before partition considered one of the best schools in the zone.

Radio (Darius Rucker song)

"Radio" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Darius Rucker. It was released on July 22, 2013 as the third single from his album True Believers. Rucker wrote the song with Luke Laird and Ashley Gorley.

Content

The song is a reflection on the narrator's teenage years: specifically, of borrowing his mother's car to take his girlfriend for a ride, and listening to songs on the radio while doing so.

Critical reception

The song generally received favorable reviews. Bobby Peacock of Roughstock gave the song four and a half stars out of five, saying that "it sounds like the kind of fun song you would want to hear on the radio at a memorable moment." Peacock praised Rucker's "all-smiles delivery" and the song's "incredibly catchy melody and tight production." He also compared its theme to "I Watched It All (On My Radio)" by Lionel Cartwright. Tammy Ragusa of Country Weekly gave the song an A grade, calling it "the perfect marriage of an artist’s effervescent personality with an upbeat song, this one about the love of music." Billy Dukes of Taste of Country gave the song two and a half stars out of five, writing that "the uptempo tribute to young love, open roads and, of course, the radio is familiar and easy to fall for, especially when powered by Rucker’s unequaled exuberance." However, Dukes also called the song "a little fluffy" and "not difficult to forget."

Radio (2013 film)

Radio is a 2013 Malayalam–language drama film directed by Umer Mohammed and starring Iniya, Sarayu, Nishan and Sreejith Vijay in pivotal roles. The film was produced by S. C. Pillai whose previous production Passenger was a critical and commercial success.

Plot

"Tune in for a change" is the tagline attached to Radio in the credits. The storyline is about a girl Priya who comes to the city for a job as a salesgirl in a jewellery shop,with a load of debt to pay off, played by Sarayu. She is new to the ways and customs of the city life. Her co-worker, Iniya character Shweta, gives her accommodation, since she has no place or relative home to stay in the city. Shweta goes out at every night, where Nishan’s character Manu, comes to pick her up. Whole picture of the storyline is clear, Shweta. a five star prostitute and associate Manu as pimp,for securing her business. It is a shock to Priya when she realizes the truth about Shweta and decides to leave her friendship and apartment.

X-Dream

X-Dream are Marcus Christopher Maichel (born May 1968) and Jan Müller (born February 1970); they are also known as Rough and Rush. They are some of the cult hit producers of psychedelic trance music and hail from Hamburg, Germany.

The latest X-Dream album, We Interface, includes vocals from American singer Ariel Electron.

First work

Muller was educated as a sound engineer. Maichel was a musician familiar with techno and reggae, and was already making electronic music in 1986. In 1989 the pair first met when Marcus was having problems with his PC and someone sent Jan to help fix it. That same year they teamed up to work on a session together. Their first work concentrated on a sound similar to techno with some hip hop elements which got some material released on Tunnel Records.

Trance

During the early 1990s they were first introduced to the trance scene in Hamburg and decided to switch their music to this genre. From 1993 they began releasing several singles on the Hamburg label Tunnel Records, as X-Dream and under many aliases, such as The Pollinator. Two albums followed on Tunnel Records, Trip To Trancesylvania and We Created Our Own Happiness, which were much closer to the original formula of psychedelic trance, although featuring the unmistakable "trippy" early X-Dream sound.
